Life’s Little Sim

Sul Sul! I’m Riley, and I’ve been playing The Sims since 2010, which seems like both a lifetime and just a blink of an eye in this vibrant gaming community. I started out in The Sims 3, where the possibilities felt endless, spent many years indulging in The Sims 4 with its beautiful graphics and innovative features, and now find myself deeply immersed in The Sims 2 exclusively, after its rerelease completely pulled me in with its unique charm and nostalgia. There’s something so special about its gameplay mechanics that invite a different kind of creativity. I love rotational gameplay, long-term storytelling, and building neighborhoods that feel lived in, cohesive, and full of history, where every Sim has a backstory that intertwines with others and evolves through generations. This blog is where I document my Sims 2 gameplay, including my ongoing project recreating The Sims 4’s Willow Creek in The Sims 2, which has been both a challenge and a joy, as I strive to capture the essence of that beloved neighborhood while infusing it with my own style.
